Dedicated to difference
Here at The Spring Space we have a single, simple mission: to help students who struggle to access mainstream education to reach their academic, social and emotional potential.
Honouring our values of compassion, connection and commitment, we provide a uniquely holistic and quietly compelling mix of neuro-affirmative care and teaching, all in a calming setting.
Why Spring?
Connecting students not in education or those struggling to access school to a personalised, neuro-affirming curriculum is what we are all about. Unlocking barriers, winning hearts and minds and achieving what was once thought impossible is our main focus.
Our vision is for future generations of educated, empowered neurodivergent individuals to find belonging in their communities and positively impact the wider world by daring to be who they are. Team Spring are committed to making this vision a reality. It’s world changing and exciting. Join us.
Perhaps the question should be ‘why not Spring?’
Meet Kathryn
“Supporting young neurodivergent people to change the narrative of feeling ‘wrong’ to gaining acceptance, understanding and agency is my purpose and privilege. It is my mission to empower the next generation of neurodivergent students to be themselves and change the world.”
Kathryn Grice
Founder, The Spring Space
Kathryn is passionate about supporting young neurodivergent people and and their families.
Kathryn knows first-hand the kind of issues facing young neurodivergent learners who feel they may feel like a square peg in a round hole. A former school leader and secondary English specialist, Kathryn has over 15 years’ teaching experience. She’s also charity trustee and previously coached for the School’s Mental Health Award for Leeds Beckett University gaining an insight into nationwide best practice.
“We cannot thank and recommend Kathryn enough. The support and excellent teaching our daughter has received has been superb. The relationship Kathryn has built with our daughter has been integral to her success, it has given her confidence, self esteem and a renewed love of learning.”
